About Us

Welcome to LawBrief.in

LawBrief.in is written and run by Aniket Kumar, a third-year law student (BA.LLB) based in Mumbai, currently in his fifth semester with a focus on Real Estate law. Alongside his studies, Aniket works professionally in legal and client-facing operations, giving him practical, on-ground exposure to how law actually plays out not just how it reads in a bare act.

This blog was started with a simple goal: to break down Indian law statutes, recent judgments, and everyday legal questions — into language that's clear, accurate, and genuinely useful, without the dense jargon that makes most legal writing inaccessible to the people it's meant to help.

What you'll find here

  • Law Articles — in-depth breakdowns of Indian statutes, landmark judgments, and legal developments, written in plain language but backed by primary sources (bare acts, official texts, and reported case law)
  • Best Study Notes — structured notes and guides for law students navigating coursework and exam preparation
  • Tech World — practical explainers on consumer tech issues, often where they intersect with consumer rights and grievance redressal

Our approach

Every article on LawBrief.in is researched against primary legal sources legislation, government publications, and court judgments before being written. Where an article touches on a live legal question, we cite our sources at the end so readers can verify the information themselves or go deeper.

That said, LawBrief.in is a source of legal awareness and education, not a substitute for professional legal advice. If you're dealing with an actual legal matter, please consult a qualified, practising advocate.
